Mr. Tang, with 50 years of experience in finance, founded Hantec Group in Hong Kong in 1990. Under his leadership, it became the first company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to focus solely on foreign exchange services. Known as the "Forex Godfather," he played a key role during the 1997 Asian financial crisis, helping the Hong Kong government counter major foreign hedge funds.
Mr. Tang is also active in public affairs. He has served as a consultant for Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwanese affairs in Beijing, as the Permanent Honorary President of the Asia-Pacific Taiwanese Business Association, and as President of the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce. He is dedicated to charity, having built several schools and donated to disaster relief efforts in China and Taiwan.
Beyond his notable achievements in finance, Mr. Tang has also excelled in cultural creativity. As a collector and cultural figure, he has gained media attention for his valuable collections, earning widespread praise. Additionally, Mr. Tang is a well-travelled author, having visited 150 countries and published several books, showcasing his varied interests and cultural knowledge.
