Tang Yu Lap is a renowned financier, collector, traveller, writer, and photographer with over 50 years of experience in the financial sector. He has held senior management positions in several local and global banks. In 1990, he established Hantec Group, which led the company to be listed as a Hong Kong enterprise solely focused on forex trading on the HKEx. During the Asian financial crisis in 1997, he collaborated with the Hong Kong Government to fend off speculators from overseas quantum funds, earning him the moniker of the "Teacher of Forex Trading."

Apart from his remarkable career in finance, Mr. Tang has also made significant contributions to public affairs, holding various public offices, including the Beijing Committee of The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Advisor of the Committee of Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan Compatriot and Overseas Affairs, Honorary Chairman of Asia Pacific Taiwan Federation of Industry & Commerce, and Chairman of the Association Suisse des Commercants d'Origine Chinoise, among others. He is also an avid philanthropist, donating generously to build many hopeful primary schools and libraries in the name of "HANTEC" and supported large-scale disasters that occurred in Mainland China and Taiwan.

Furthermore, Mr. Tang has excelled in the cultural and creative sector with rare collections that have attracted media attention. He has been interviewed several times as a collector and culturati. As a traveller and writer, he has visited approximately 150 countries, publishing 16 books and photography portfolios.
