Pearl is the birthstone for June, symbolizing the meaning of preciousness, happiness and health. It is one of the favorite gems of the British royal family. The English name of Pearl is from the Latin “Pernulo”. And the other name Margarite is from the ancient Persian Sanskrit, which means "son of the sea". Pearls, amber and coral are known as the three major organic gems.
